Reach Out Projects exists to provide opportunities for people to develop their potential. It does this by offering resources for use by youth, voluntary and community groups, particularly ensuring access for people with special needs and physical disabilities. Reach Out Projects operates a small fleet of canal boats based on the Grand Union Canal near Hemel Hempstead and The Chellington Centre in North Bedfordshire, providing residential accommodation for a wide range of groups.

The Chellington Centre is an inspirational residential youth centre in rural North Bedfordshire used by groups as a place for expedition, contemplation and invigoration. It is basic but beautiful, fully accessible and has a well-equipped kitchen. The centre is also available for hire for conferences, day bookings, midweek receptions, exhibitions and much more.

The Enable Holiday Programme is jointly organised by Reach Out Projects and the St Albans Diocesan Youth Service. Accessible to all, our holidays are aboard one of our 2 wide beam boats - Close Shave or Sheldrake II. Both have wheelchair access throughout, including a lift to the stern deck for those who want to try their hand at steering.
